The PPF color change is complete on my Aston Martin Vantage. I love it so much! And it now matches my Rubystone Porsche 911. youtube.com/shorts/3xGLW...

Day 2 of my first road trip in my Aston Martin Vantage. Spending the night in Telluride before I stop in Moab and head home. CO-141 between Gateway and Naturita, CO, is my favorite driving road in the country. So much fun!
JFC. Haven’t we learned anything? We can’t let billionaires buy political offices, no matter the party. Sure, Mark Cuban is 100x better than Musk or 🍊💩, but that doesn't mean he gets to buy the presidency. Am I being naive in that assessment? Maybe that’s why Dems lose… we have principles.
My new toy arrived this morning. I’m in love! 😍 #AstonMartinVantage
I bought a new (to me) car yesterday. It’ll arrive in about a week. I’m so excited! The past year has been really dark, and I needed something to look forward to and enjoy. Of course, I will have the car wrapped to match my Ruby Stone Porsche 911 and motorcycle.
Same for Ohio
Urgent trans and nonbinary update: I called a passport office and got a sympathetic rep who told me officially any information about gender markers is posted online. Unofficially, they *literally whispered,* they have heard the same rumors about passports being confiscated.
Last week, Musk hosted Alice Weidel, leader of AFD, a far-right German party, for a conversation on X.
Weidel said Hitler “wasn’t a conservative, he wasn’t a libertarian, he was a communist, socialist guy, and we are the opposite”.
Who in their right mind would think Hitler was a communist???
Back from paternity leave on a busy day, I guess. You guys probably know already that Mark Zuckerberg is "getting rid of fact-checkers" and about that: he can do it. His money, his decision - he can very well live with the consequences of Facebook being the cesspool of disinformation and manipulation that it was back in 2016. Let me be very clear: Fact-checkers are not the victims here, Meta users are and I'm sorry first and foremost about them. What I will not accept is that he slanders fact-checking organizations calling us " politically biased" in a self-serving and incredibly deceptive argument. Nor that he intentionally obscures what our collaboration with his company has been about: showing users labels with fact-checked information, giving them additional context, allowing them to access the evidence we found and to make their own calls. What Meta did in terms of content moderation and visibility after we reach our conclusions was always their decision and theirs alone. In other words we never have had and frankly never wanted any "censoring" powers on Meta platforms. On the opposite, we always have told anyone who would listen that contextual interventions and not removals of content are the way to go against misinformation. Implying otherwise is akin to lying.
Because facts are important, though, let me finish by taking issue with Zuckerberg's line about “too many mistakes and too much censorship”. I’d gladly discuss any mistakes in our work, but let’s keep in mind the official tally of those. Because of the provisions of the Digital Services Act we know exactly how many times Meta had to reverse a moderation decision to decrease the visibility of a post because of a complaint by the user. Bullying? 92%. Violent content? 88%. Fact-checking? 3%. Finally, on the motivation of Mr. Zuckerberg to make his decision, I'm not naive about the current political climate but I'm also not one who claims to be able to read other people's minds. But yes, I saw that the incoming US president was praising the move yesterday and, when asked if it could be a response to his threats , Mr. Trump responded that "probably" it was. I'll leave it there. I have more to say about all this and you can read my last newsletter here, https://lnkd.in/dfpX2Jz7 and if you're interested in how Mr. Zuckerberg's misrepresents the work of fact-checking organizations, I strongly recommend you read the statement by the European Fact-Checking Standards Network (EFCSN). And of course, see you around here. We are not going anywhere - we have too much to do.
Carlos Hernandez Ecchevaria of Spanish fact checker Maldita with extremely important stat:
“we know exactly how many times Meta had to reverse a moderation decision to decrease the visibility of a post because of a complaint by the user. Bullying? 92%. Violent content? 88%. Fact-checking? 3%.”
When they talk about privatizing Veterans’ care and Medicare, they mean allowing companies to provide healthcare for a profit.
But how do companies make those profits? By *denying* care to many who need it.
Don’t get fooled by the “privatization” label. It means “for profit” and YOU are the cost.

I posted my first driving spatial video for Apple Vision Pro on SpaceTube. Standard and 360deg videos are posted to YouTube.com/@tiamartyns
The trial wasn’t exactly successful. The 1st day, the pain & shaking were much better than normal. But from day 2 day on, it didn’t help at all. Turns out, the leads dropped a full rib and a half and moved to the left side. We have to *guess* if the permanently surgery would help.
Why am I not surprised that Trump is skipping ethics pledges and FBI background checks on appointments? apple.news/A9cKJjRWlRUK...
And an *extremely* transphobic bigot.
That’s the scariest part. At least some of his appointments from his first term had principles, even if I disagreed with them on most policies. Now, he’s surrounding himself with sycophants that’ll agree to *anything*.
💀
Thank you for the clarification. I’ve made a donation and added them to my list.
While I love their mission/goal, it looks like they only support Seattle Children's Gender Clinic. I’d prefer to give to trans advocates in red states right now (while they still exist).
Can we please stop referring to the other place as “X” and keep saying “Twitter” instead? Let’s see how Musk feels about people not respecting name changes (re: trans people). The assface still won’t use his own daughter’s correct name and pronouns. She can’t stand him.
Do yourself a favor and read this from Fox News contributor Ben Domenech.
I’d like to report a murder
After suffering from a medical condition for 5+ years, I had a trial surgery today that might provide some relief. It’s taken that long to find a doctor who actually *cares*, & 2+ years to get insurance approval. We NEED universal health care. $170k out-of-pocket so far, with “good” insurance.
