So it makes me wonder if those spikes of unique downloads which happen en masse but do not repeat in return downloads are just bots?
The analytics from our host differentiates between "unique" or new downloaders vs return downloaders based on IP address I think? And the thing is that we get a ton of unique downloads on a run of single episodes in spikes. The unique downloads surpass the returns.
Starting to suspect that many of our show downloads are bots scraping content. The analytics are just suspicious. Which is why it is so important to leave reviews, or even reach out to tell an artist if you like their stuff. The engagement to play ratio doesn't add up.
Sometimes I just start singing the word "Dog" to the tune of the Jurassic Park score... to my dog. She seems to like it. But I can also tell she is just a little concerned.

So many lazy ai generated podcasts and videos that make me, a human podcaster and researcher, beyond angry.
