It was a legitimate football play. Allen has made plenty of passes from there before. Bad call.

12 (or 13) personnel could be the key to this game. McVay at this point seems to be actively going out of his way not to use it. It goes against his gunslinger, 11p, 9 and dime, pass first vision of the game. Hopefully he comes to his senses for the Bills game.

Confusing night. Thought the Rams were better than this. Too many mistakes (too late in the year). Lack of offensive diversity (Stafford locks on Cupp/Nakua missing easier opportunities). Our OL is not “all that” (with potential). TE core not used. Our defense is still young. So is our kicker. Oof!

Allen has had 6/11 targets all year. Long is 5/5 all year. Parkinson has had 2 targets in the last 2 games. McVay has given up on the TE room. He needs to start using 12p to assist the OL even if he doesn’t use them as receiving targets. It worked on SF. Would have worked last night.

Correct me if I am wrong but on 3rd down Stafford becomes laser focused on getting the ball to Cupp or Nakua. Forcing it into coverage. He often overlooks other open receivers and rarely even turns his head to open TEs.
