And its hard to notice by design. But once you notice it, everything changes.
And that's why community and connection is so important. At the end of the day, your job will not save you from the dystopia we're in. Only community, and our common humanity, can do that.
Marx talked about how capitalism alienates us from ourselves, our community and our environment.
Capitalism distances us from the things that really matter and then leads us to identify so strongly with our work, makes us think our job titles are so important, that we forget to be human.
How you handle and reveal (or don’t) your own abuse is up to you.
But if you know about others being harmed and keep that to yourself, that makes you complicit.
Equity is a reaction to systemic barriers. We can’t stop there; we have to remove the barriers altogether. #spiritchat
