Thanks..I am new to photography and in this grim world I find my focus is full on with making interesting and hopefully beautiful images. I have some old ussr lens and love 50mm. Been thinking about hands and feet in portraits and like this one and your hands one.

Great composition!
That is a great photograph! what lens are you using?
So in the last couple of months I have been getting into #vintagelens adapted to my mirrorless camera. On Sunday I took some pictures of my friends and musicians at The Floating Fayre on the canal. I used a Jupiter 11 135mm f4 from 1968. Music is by The Water Gypsies.
I think demonstrating the process is rather important these days, it's something the robots can't do!
Thanks!
A little promo for my human music group Devil's Doorbell. The music was played, recorded and mixed by me in my narrowboat home. Pictures were taken on the swing bridge where we are moored using a 1964 Industar 50 f3.5 vintage lens. Our name was hand painted by Ginny Barlow.

Indeed they are both from the same town and released their first chap hop albums in the same week. They are friends but often play up the rap beef. The Prof released a diss song about Mr B youtu.be/0iRTB-FTMdk?... I am supporting Mr B in May and about to release a single with the Prof

He is a Jamaican jazz guitarist. Best album is 'Below the Bassline', every tune is a winner. So how about top three Professor Elemental tunes?
Ernest Ranglin?
One of my favourite songs of all time. I performed it many times with the Night Owls and audiences always responded super positively.
Well there is a thing, I always think of him as a blues player not really a folkster. I like his version of Glory Box, Danny's bass on that is just sublime.
You are right he has at least 10 songs in contention for best song ever written. Him, Pentangle and Nick Drake are the only folkies I can listen to these days, they are the only ones who's songwriting and musicianship have stood the test of time. I think it is that they all have Danny on bass.
I saw your AI re post, I am saying something... why? these people are set to destroy human culture. It made me feel sick to see all those greedy people chatting about how to most effectivly steal our IP and all the money it generates.
Thanks Barry, great song! I busked this tune when at collage in the 90s
So myself and Jellylegs Johnson took our philosophy of swinging hard on washtub bass and baritone uke to the Isle of Wight. We had a marvelous time! You can see us from 6mins into this great film by Ukulele Wales. #baritoneukulele #ukulele #ukulelejazz youtu.be/Ug3E81bS49Q?...
Thoughts on this?
Professor Richard Wilkinson on the global studies that prove without a doubt the direct correlation between economic inequality & other social issues like crime, addiction, violence, hatred & depression - and how the reverse is also true.

Sun is out again today and I thought I would share a slice of canal life. A few years ago a youtuber made a little film about Devil's Doorbell, showing how we live and make our music. youtu.be/s746T9M9Wyk?...
Remembering the old days with my best friends, The Night Owls. Filmed on the same train as in the Hard Day's Night film... #baritoneukulele #swingukulele #jazzukulele youtu.be/Z8aRTiVHZG4?...
I like yours better, less open strings. I am partial to a 6 7 5 7
He is bloomin great!
We have all played with that guitarist! I only listen to feedback on my playing from other musicians I trust. Never listen to general audience feedback or feedback from non musicians.
I am not sure what most listeners are hearing with any live music. I have found many non musician just don't hear when things are out of time or out of tune, trite, or indeed any of the things most musicians hear immediately.
