Ran #D&D this morning, then went 2-1 in a flashback Final Fantasy #MtG draft, then played about a dozen games of Pack Wars with a buddy over the course of the evening; today was a pretty good day!

Bard: That says 'trebuchet.'

Barbarian: Bullshit. I've spent three months learning how to read with Cleric, and it clearly says 'tree-bucket.'

Cleric: Maybe we...maybe we just let him have this one.

Thinking about building a 'New York City' cube by just smashing together a collection of Spider-Man with a collection of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Both sets have some really fun mechanics and cards, but they're just so small that the draft experience with either is less than great.

The SAVE Act is Jim Crow 2.0. It would disenfranchise tens of millions of people.

If Trump is saying he won’t sign any bills until the SAVE Act is passed, then so be it: there will be total gridlock in the Senate.

Senate Democrats will not help pass the SAVE Act under any circumstances.

I feel like it should be bigger news that Trump is now openly considering a military draft. Young men haven't been called up for a draft since 1972. Not during the Gulf War. Not during Iraq or Afghanistan. He received five draft deferments but is now open to drafting your kids.

Joshua Jones sums up what I've been thinking about Mullin and his absurd comments about "the smell of war" and other such nonsense.

He has never served in any war zone. He has never been on the receiving end of enemy fire or missile attacks. He has never sacrificed anything for anyone.

A lot of people say AI isn't very good for the world and its outputs are routinely unreliable, but these haters fail to see how it's revolutionizing how we incinerate schoolchildren.

Did a flashback #MtG draft last night; my first time drafting Bloomburrow! Had a great time; ended up going 2-1 with a Bant midrange that was surprisingly reliable.

I can think of a few differences.

1. Your program wasn't built off of plagiarizing trillions of pages of text from other people.

2. Your program was not singlehandedly drawing problematically massive amounts of power.

3. Your program did not pass off erroneous information as fact.

Empathy is not a weakness.

Started playing #PacificDrive on Gamepass and, I swear, there is nothing quite like it. It's a little buggy (at least on X-Box), but it is SUCH an incredibly evocative game.
