I have never wanted anything more than a @hankgreen.bsky.social produced book about all the problems life had to solve in order to survive on land. Such an incredible way to explore evolution, cell biology and biochemistry.

The juiciest eel facts always live in one-off anecdotes deep in the discussion section of research papers. Some folks accidentally make the most out-of-pocket connections when spitballing about future research directions. All my best videos come from COMPLETELY unrelated papers.
I wanted this video to be a companion piece to @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social 's Everything Is Tuberculosis (which you should read IMMEDIATELY) -- but right now it's best used in support of the work being done by @tbfighters.org Check them out at tbfighters.org/action

The molecular biology of how Mycobacterium Tuberculosis evades the immune system so well.
Starting with this simulation of a full outer envelope of m.TB--let's explore how the deadliest & most persistent human pathogen completely hacks our immune response. #molecularbiology
ASTOUNDING. My jaw is on the floor here. So many incredible little interactions.
Forgive me--Tuberculosis is now my entire personality.

The rhythm sounds GREAT for 50. Definitely your best bet to try out the PO format. The KO is WILD at its price point (even though not on sale). But it only works if playing around in those menus clicks for you. Definitely not for everyone. Loved teaching myself on the Rhythm & KO tho.
This series will explore a lot of the fuzzy details at the edges of how we conceptualize the molecular biology powering cells.
How Life Works by @philipcball.bsky.social has been a CRITICAL resource that had a tremendous influence on how I frame this series

My favorite place on the internet is in GREAT new hands. @jiwasa.bsky.social has CRUSHED her first two articles running the @rcsbpdb.bsky.social PDB-101 molecule of the month.
February brings us a very in-depth and timely write-up on H5 Hemagglutinin:
