From 2nd Sem 2024-2025 to 1st Sem 2025-2026, basically CY 2025, sabbatical ko na!

My presentation is titled "Open and Collaborative Data Science: Aiding Public Engagement and Policymaking", which discusses open data principles and analytics workflows with multiple case studies during the COVID-19 pandemic and future work in GRIT Labs.

Super busy but excited for the work we do!

It is organized by the Governance Reform, Innovation, and Transformation (GRIT) Research Laboratories, which led by Dr Kristoffer Berse, Dean of UP NCPAG. I am a GRIT Labs fellow under the Resilient Communities Group and Creative Cities Group.

The panel session is titled “From Big to BOLD: Big, Open and Linked Data for Better Governance and Decision-making”.

I will be a Panel Presenter at the 2024 Philippine Society for Public Administration (PSPA) International Conference to be held from December 5-7, 2024 in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

For my new friends on Bluesky, let me share that in 2023 my first book, False Nostalgia: The Marcos "Golden Age" Myths and How to Debunk Them, was published by Ateneo de Manila University Press. I debunk the myths claiming that the 🇵🇭's golden age happened during Marcos Sr's martial law (1972-1986).
