I’m shocked to learn that the amazing Kathy Hepinstall Parks has exited this world. Her creativity and writing was inspirational to anyone lucky enough to know her. A friend of hers thinks that perhaps she chose to leave the pain more than she chose to leave life.

I’m not sure if these do better in the heat but they’ve had plenty of it lately with temps in the high 90’s and the heat index at 104 degrees on many days. They are Hydrangea paniculata ‘Phantom’) similar to Limelight. Others around here bloom earlier but don’t seem to flower as long.

My garden, so pleased with our rain and humidity, embraces climate change in our normally dryer month of July.
