When was Lawrence a joke to British journalists? I've been a fan since the 80s and don't keep up with recent (i.e. last 25 years or so) music trends, genuinely asking. I always thought Felt/Denim/GKM was quite revered by NME/Melody Maker

I love the Count to 5 for "never gonna be able to duplicate these settings again, but who cares, it sounds awesome" weirdness. Also a big fan of the Sun Lion. Very nice board!

I've had the 1020 preamp (it's the exact same schematic as the preamp section of the 3020) for about 30 years, and the unit itself is 40+ years old, but it still sounds great and I haven't found a phono stage I like better
