My wife and I both gave mountain rings!
I thought it was just pockt
i don't agree with everything they've done
i also don't know what the constraints were that led them to the decisions i don't like
what i do know is that an open protocol gives all of us the opportunity to do it our way instead
and that's always been the real promise here - agency
I will forever be saddened that I don’t get to read the Mistborn series for the first time again. What an incredible ride.
It's taken far longer than expected, but we are here, open beta! 🚀 ready for writers to start their journey on Offprint.
Soon you all will be receiving an email notifying you that your invite request has been approved. Take a look around, we will be available for any questions you may have!
Got some swarm traps up yesterday!
Excited to give beekeeping a whirl this year 🐝
I mean they got acquired for $610 million dollars so if I had to guess I bet they’re laughing all the way to the bank 😂
Algorithms to Live By: The Computer Science of Human Decisions was a cool book, been a long time since I read that. Anything by Brandon Sanderson if you’re a fantasy nerd, I’m loving the Mistborn series!
Y’all remember the days where you could just be with your friends in the group chat and you weren’t inundated with ads to upgrade or chase “quests” (more ads) all the damn time
Recent controversies have really inspired me to start hacking on atproto again 👀 🤫
This post by Riot Games Engineering is an incredible read, truly some great minds behind the engineering efforts of VALORANT. It’s an older post but caught some traction over on Hacker News today. technology.riotgames.com/news/valoran...
dungeon docket invite modal. the user is prompted to select a character, join with a new character, or ignore the invite to join the campaign.
Not too much progress on Dungeon Docket this week, but I've been working on the flow for inviting players to your campaign. Players are prompted to join with an existing campaign, or they can create a new campaign from within the invite modal.
I've started breaking up my API types this way on the frontend. It's been an okay way to model optional Eloquent relationships.
It helps enforce that child components only get objects with required relations (like a campaign with characters). I do miss shared types across front+back though.
Screenshot of a dashboard. The coin pouch inventory is open. It contains 0 copper, 0 silver, 0 electrum, 0 gold 0 platinum.
I've been working on Dungeon Docket, a lightweight inventory management app for my dungeons & dragons players. Ultimately I don't know what will come of it, but it's been a good excuse to keep learning and keep building. Maybe I can launch it with a copy of the free SRD items.
I've been learning Laravel lately after putting it down nearly a decade ago. It's been a real treat to get back into. React with Inertia + Laravel has been a dream, and feels really familiar to my experience with Next.js.
This was a great read! I really found the bit about "2 hours a day, every work day" particularly interesting. Do you have any tips on how you break down a new feature into 2 hour work sessions? Do you use any project management tools to manage your backlog?
This is impressive growth, nice work!

The Laravel team has consistently done an incredible job at simplifying Laravel hosting in every capacity. I can't wait to see what experiences they've conjoured up for Laravel cloud.
You gotta stay strong a wait for the OLED version! The OLED switch looks incredible, but hard to justify the upgrade.
Been learning Laravel again. It's been a decade or more since I last used it, really cool to see how far the ecosystem has grown through the years. Never thought I'd come crawling back to PHP after all these years
Beast Games has been an incredible production so far. Seems silly but the beast team has really nailed the virality formula.
Congrats on the launch!
If you’re planning on integrating with home assistant, ESPHome makes it super easy to integrate the esp32 platform. Just write a few lines of yaml and flash the microcontroller
Welcome home! 😎
Neat! I’ve always wondered how it would do for development work, excited to see what you do with it!
Can’t wait for Severance season 2! youtu.be/_UXKlYvLGJY?...
