Mega Whimsicott Design Concept Appearance: Like the original Whimsicott, but with multiple more grandiose features: - Larger cotton bud, with the leaves extending past the cotton - More elaborate "horns", with 3 horns per side - A "dress" made of light-green leaves - A magic staff decorated in vines and a cotton plant as a topper - Extra cotton that covers its eyes Mega Whimsicott retains its Grass/Fairy typing Description: The energy of Mega Evolution has been stored into a bundle of Whimsicott's cotton, forming a staff that is said to grant its wishes. Using this staff, Mega Whimsicott can whip up fierce gales that can change the weather in an instant. This power makes the already-mischievous Whimsicott into a more maniacal prankster, using its winds to spread cotton across entire cities. Ability: Sirocco - On entering the battle, sets up a special weather that speeds up itself and allies by +2. Additionally, this weather provides the benefits of both Rain and Sunny weather to itself and allies Design Inspirations: - Was created by Winter, as a buffed up combo of Tailwind and Sunny Day (though adjusted once we remembered that Hurricane is actually worsened by Sunny Day). Whimsicott is already a support Pokemon competitively through tailwind and similar buffs, so it made sense to combine them and make Whimsicott a support mega. This ability also influenced a lot of the lore. - Whimsicott is already based on various prankster creatures, including pixies and fairies. I wanted to amp up that part of it in particular, giving a look akin to the pixies of FFXIV (especially Titania) - The staff was Winter's idea, as a method of channeling wind/cotton - Based on the Pokedex, it's unknown if it can normally create its own winds; a natural upgrade would be to give it control of the winds. The ability also helped, as it could utilize winds in more extreme ways like changing the weather. This also worked with the trickster idea, making it a little mad with power.
