North Carolina’s Lawrence Academy has never reported Black enrollment higher than 3% in a county whose population hovers around 60% Black.
It received $518,240 in vouchers in the 2023-2024 school year to fund 86 of its over 200 students.

I can answer this one. The president of the United States is dangerously psychotic and no one in his political party will say it, nor will 95% of American media.
Measles flourishing unnecessarily, especially in SC. No child needs to suffer like this. RFK & Dr. Oz, and all those fakes who follow them, are endangering America's children.

“No law enforcement professional wears a mask…No law enforcement professional shoots at a moving vehicle.
“What Trump’s private army is doing…is not only against legal law, but moral law.”

Image from JLARC presentation shows 63% of districts had no removals, while 36% of the 344 removals actions occurred in Hanover County, with another 17% in Rockingham, 10% in Goochland, 7% in Madison, and 6% in Spotsylvania.
List of books that have been removed includes Gender Queer (7), Tilt (6), Identical (5), The Perks of Being a Wallflower (5), plus numerous other books 4 times each.
According to mandated JLARC study (2024 @marcussimon.com resolution) on school book censorship, the book removals are concentrated in a small number of (hyperpartisan?) school districts, who mostly claim to be wrongly interpreting the recent law as giving them that authority.
This is just sick.

The rush to vouchers is neither a mass movement of parents nor a tidal wave of history. It’s just an ongoing demand for a garden variety special interest subsidy that happens to be backed by some of the wealthiest people on the planet. Things change, and they will again."
In spite of the push to vouchers, Josh Cowen's latest newsletter has an accurate perspective:
"All of this means that right-wing billionaires don’t always win—even when it comes to their GOP allies. It’s possible to delay and even stop the so-called inevitable.
