Counterpoint: That people are willing to take time and gather in places that are actively hostile to gathering shows how motivated people are to fight back against fascism. This is good.

I took my toddler in a stroller to a stroad near our home. It was so clear the sidewalks were much too narrow and also highlighted the resolve of those who came out.

No fear - of cars, of troops, of kings.

According to our latest poll, Montgomery County voters say the age and quality of homes in the county is a problem. They're also more likely to support pro-homes candidates, especially voters under 45 and renters.

Lol at The Post sending me a print copy of Sunday's paper with this garbage, which convinced me to cancel even my online-only sub once and for all.

There have been so many years of meetings about managed lane vs median vs other options. This was settled and buried. So frustrated at Mink for unearthing it. 🤬

If he wins the primary, I would hope that he'd be asked to repair relations with Jewish (and other) communities. Much as Mamdani had to, despite the lack of ties to Nazis. But this Maine, and Platner isn't Muslim, so 🤷.

Lots of people seem to forget: It is Ramadan, which would affect the pattern of life of everyone in Iran.

The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive

Front end also encompasses UX, e. g. app navigation. Where I work, front end is UI/UX, backend is figuring out how to bring the data to front end.

look if a Democrat wants me to be really fired up about voting for them, they will promulgate the Crimes Against Humanity Reparations Act which gives US citizenship to everyone targeted by the Trump administration.

As one of the people who was responsible for the 2018 council seat GGWash endorsement, I am truly disappointed that Will Jawando did not even fill out the questionnaire.

There are bobcats removing the remaining ice piles at the mostly snow free transit center.

Meanwhile I'm still "vehicular walking" in the partially clear right lane of a 6 lane road around my bus stop.

Look I know that “diversity is our strength” is cringe but: diversity is our strength. People who come from distinct cultural practices actively serving in community with one another. What a blessing to live in a world where that happens.

I think it was intentional to separate housing from commerce. It's a big deal to bring them back together again.

Yes! It's YA. It's a rif on YA academic coming of age novels. It's more in dialogue with Harry Potter and Poppy War than Jonathan Strange or whatever. It's not meant to be historically accurate or unsubtle or whatever. I found it brilliant for what it is, and it absolutely sticks the landing.
