It’s already a difficult product to build with the finely tuned marketplace. Combine that with the launch of LLMs that take away any real incentive for your primary cohort - there’s no chance.

They could have shut down public access and trained their own models, maybe that was one way to survive?

StackOverflow is such a fascinating product.

The highest intrinsic value of the network was for the least engaged users (viewers), who don’t ask questions or submit answers.

At the same time, the value for that cohort diminishes if you don’t maintain a balance b/w Q+A. Almost like Reddit.

Exploding Kittens and Monopoly Deal are super chill and easy card games.

For board specifically, would recommend Sequence, Ticket to Ride, Codenames, Pandemic, Risk.

A bit more advanced, but not “expert level”: Catan, Wingspan, 7 Wonders, Citadels.

Folks that are active in the data conference circuit: how can a newbie break in, assuming they have material to talk about? What are the biggest data conferences that are remote or in London? #databs

After living in New York for 8 years, we moved to London this year.

Proximity to Europe is such a huge advantage for quick weekend trips. 🎉

The thing I love the most is when I end up on another team’s repo and they have incredibly funny latest commit messages.

Massive leading indicator of great team culture.

Absolutely. I find 1=1 funny because I’ve gotten a lot of confused looks from people who read my queries. I’m sure True has the same effect.

Hello Bluesky 👋

Met @jayatillake.bsky.social yesterday and told him I missed Data Twitter. He said this is where the party’s at.

So here we go again: I’m Anurag, I lead DS+AE for Spotify Podcasts. We will be friends if you also love using leading commas and WHERE 1=1.
