also adore how harry's relationship with maddie is filled with so much warmth and tenderness, which i think is rare given the loner character type that bosch fits into. good adaptation choice to bring forward maddie's existence :)

catching up with bosch and i am in love with all things honey chandler. also have a soft spot for detective shows where grunt work is king. no overblown action sequences - just harry bosch and his endless stubborn grind

Loved chatting with Nina a few weeks ago about all this wealth on tv! Check this column out if you want to see a condensed version of what it's like having a conversation with me (I'll bounce from Below Deck to Gilded Age to Sinners to Edith Wharton).

Column: Money and status aren’t everything. Try telling TV that The preponderance of wealthaganda is odds with reality for most Americans. So what do these stories of status aim to do?

COLUMN: The preponderance of wealthaganda on TV is at odds with our lived experiences & what we see unfolding on the news, not just in the last 6 months but the past several yrs. These stories of status exist to do ~what~ in our current moment?

I talk with @bakerdphd.bsky.social about it!

"It's been so hard to think about any future beyond these walls.
And when I think about us, where we’ll end up, it's in a bamboo hut on the river, like my father and I had."

i think most book readers just hate women and hate that women are doing things in the adaptation instead of a main male character but what do i know

noah wyle as harry wilson and maulik pancholy as beak trividi in season 3 episode 6 of leverage: redemption. the two men are having a fancy picnic on a huge patch of grass. there's a white coffee table and few glasses of red wine.

noah wyle as harry wilson and maulik pancholy as beak trividi in season 3 episode 6 of leverage: redemption. the two men are having a fancy picnic on a huge patch of grass. there's a white coffee table and few glasses of red wine.

leverage: redemption sends noah wyle to seduce a man for a con. his daughter accidentally walks in on them, and now believes her dad is bisexual. she is so happy for him. it's never addressed whether he did tell her that he's actually doing a bit of crime. 10/10 no notes ace episode
