A few weeks ago, we were joking about Ohm’s Law equations. Well, I know how to do those now. I’d forgotten how good it feels to work through something you assumed you’d never understand, to struggle with it for hours, and then finally understand it.

Consider how many allies, how many voices, how many protestors, how many votes, are lost every year when millions more children and adults develop longterm illness from an infection. If their intrinsic value as human beings isn't enough, perhaps our moderate left allies can appreciate that.
We cannot fight fascism if we, and our children, are constantly under assault from pathogens that disrupt our immune systems and inflame our brains. And there's no point in fighting fascism if we simply allow genocides, pipe lines, data centers, and cop cities to be built while we coast on vibes.
Imagine what we could accomplish if we actually started protecting each other from airborne diseases and collectively acknowledged that the only way to save the planet was to reduce consumption. It would deflate the oligarchy quite a lot in the process. That would be a real advantage.
