You can do this. You just need capital controls or to not fight recessions / inflations

Nothing wrong with a stable currency, it’s a plus because it makes planning easier

Unfortunately yes

Yeah, I think so. Also even with inefficient planning steps, I am still moving much faster

2 months ago 1 0 1 0

Yeah I think people are coping about this a lot

It over zooms in on this.

I think better prompting would've kept it focused on the overall problem. Especially the first prompt was bad. the second can be expanded.

You ask it for "give me some data analysis to think about" and it notices some patterns of the overall data, but you should've specified that you want information on #1 and #2.

You then clarify and show it some sample analysis on finding product ranking flips on fri->sat

You want to predict what products are your #1 and #2 sellers and know when they are going to change or likely to change. You do not have advance notice on when new products drop, but they usually drop on the same day of the week.

I asked the AI for explotory data analysis on a time series I have.

Imagine you sell 100s of products that drop and then fall out of popularity. Their initial drop is their peak and they they slowly decline. Some might have weekend or weekday improvements.

I can give you examples of how not to prompt. I can't see times when I prompted well, because then the AI 1 shot solved it.

It’s pretty clear people are going to be better at physical task

I’ll see what happens

Question in my mind is

Do we have gdp = f(labor, capital) for white collar work or do we mostly have gdp = f(capital)

At some really high productivity point it becomes blurry

This was prompted to me by unleashing an agent at a personal project time series. Not a hard time series problem mind you.

I think it did VERY well. Multiple days of progress quickly.

I am more startled I gave it vague "give me some EDA" and it seems to have done a good job with that.

what am I thinking, I should've just texted you directly.

2 months ago 0 0 1 0

gotcha, so no agent work? where you give it a task and it iterates on it?

I am interested in talking to anyone who has used claude code and DOESN'T think this and why they do not think this.

I think it will at a minimum fundamentally change what white collar skills are.

I will keep using it and see if my mind changes

It needs some help with architecture sometimes, but some of its suggestions are usually right. Also, lots of humans do worse.

My big advantage is giving it context and translating a business question into a technical question.

I just had claude spin up work for a time series personal project very quickly.

I think it is very unlikely I will be coding in the future at all

2 months ago 6 0 2 0

oh. I mean that you complete your work 10-20% faster and that's it. Your work doesn't really fundamentally change

Other answers would be

"yes, I use copilot at work"

2 months ago 3 0 0 0

I don't understand what you mean?

I think your answer would be

"No I haven't used them"

2 months ago 2 0 2 0

Yeah its quite clear when someone has used it vs when someone has not

Question for "AI is a productivity boost, nothing more" people

1.Have you used these tools
2. if so, which ones?
