But I'm guessing the desicion to include Fox might've been more an Illumination + Sakurai desicion than a Nintendo desicion

Absolutely AMAZING short animation for that game with The Battle Begins, but it HAD to be another Lylat Wars/Star Fox 64 retelling 😒

Plus it was on Wii with motion controls, so yeaaaah... It was frustrating to see, even without owning the game myself

THIS! Most we got were basically retreads of Star Fox 64/Lylat Wars as well as Fox, Falco and Wolf in Smash Bros.

At least Fox's role might be sorta important as probably the group's space guide/wingman in case of fights, glad they didn't gave that to Samus and put Star Fox the spotlight for that

Mood, but honestly, glad that Nintendo at least acknowledges the franchise, could've easily gone to Samus as the "oh, here's someone who knows shit about space and can keep you safe out there" character with a spaceship

He has his own poster, so probably.

Honestly, good choice imo. He can go into arrogant/snarky but also heroic ala Sonic or just straight up asshole ala Kale Vandelay pretty well, so definitely a choice I'm not mad about

And here I am, thinking that Nintendo legit forgot about Star Fox and let the franchise rot in the basement...

I've been SAYING that since "The Battle Begins" came out. Star Fox as a series or a movie would be insanely good!

And hopefully they're getting the animator team from the short (or another team that's specialized in the fake 2D animation style, bc that short is GORGEOUS) as well
