I am so proud of my partners for this event, Big Tone and Chase. We worked so hard on perfecting every detail of this team, every matchup line and it paid off with an incredible combined swiss record of 28-5. Congrats to Chase on top cut and Tony on 4 consecutive day 2s
Top 16 at San Antonio regionals with my beloved Big Fish! This weekend I recorded my first top cut since 2023 and my first ever undefeated swiss run. I am immensely proud of my performance this weekend. I am also now 5/5 on day 2's this season.

Skeleton Crew (2024-25)
Fantastic show. Outside of Andor the best piece of Star Wars media since the Disney takeover. Wonderfully written characters and an interesting story without forcing unnecessary tie-ins. Bit of an abrupt ending though, could do with an epilogue.

Rush Hour 3 (2007)
Somehow the jokes in this one aged worse than the earlier entries. The choreography is great though and the Eiffel Tower set piece was really well done. Still enjoyable overall

Rush Hour 2 (2001)
Big nostalgia bonus for this one. Used to own this on VHS (💀). Fun rewatch, some dated jokes again but overall it's my favorite of the trilogy. Also has the best bloopers of the series.

Goofy throwback film. Some of the jokes didn‘t age particularly gracefully but it‘s a fun movie.

Squid Game 2 (2024)
Squid Game really didn't need a sequel, but this was pretty entertaining. I liked a lot of the new characters, and while the ending was really abrupt we're getting S3 later this year so I won't be too harsh.

Memoirs of a Geisha (2005)
Watched on the plane home. Didn‘t know much going in. Extremely uncomfortable movie that ultimately ends up glorifying and celebrating grooming and exploitation. It is beautifully shot though so I‘ll give it that.

The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
First time rewatching this one in a while. Still a timeless classic. The writing is incredible, the story is fascinating and the acting is top class.
