I'm hearing this spoken like "Well kiss my grits!"

A demonstration of the impact the St Lawrence Seaway had on Great Lakes sailing: this iron boat is both longer and wider than the Titanic.

One thing I like about the BBC #AntiquesRoadshow war specials: they don't give valuations.

Educational smart cages for your junk where you have to complete increasingly complex math problems on a little display to unlock it. You could call it the cuckulator

You'd think Stickley would be an exception with how contemporary it can still look. I guess if that's your motivation, you'll just buy new rather than go the antique route.

And only in the after-clips does this #AntiquesRoadshow clip show have something that went down in value.

You did say "few", it counts!

Subtle and timely. Plus the fact that #AntiquesRoadshow isn't celebrating America 250 with visits to Boston or DC or Philly, but with a clip show.

I love this subversive #AntiquesRoadshow special: few (no?) weapons, but a nice collection of Abolitionist items, and anti-Nazi posters, and a Native American powder horn. There is a message here. (And no creepy dolls) (Yet 🤞)

Received as intended :P

Considering their celebration of America 250 is a clip show, I suspect #AntiquesRoadshow is feeling about the same.

I think that tracks with the stuff that was brought in at the time. A lot more "national treasures", colonial furniture, folk art, etc. We're seeing a lot more recent stuff now, so the mood is more relaxed.

"I'll only sell it to the right person." Two weeks later, they sell it for less than the right person was willing to pay. #AntiquesRoadshow

My first exposure to the "Grand Army of the Republic" was learning about its hall in Detroit. #AntiquesRoadshow

As a comic book fan, someone mentioning Roy Lichtenstein is a good way to launch me into a rant.

So much stuff that's actually happening would have been rejected in writers' rooms as impossible to believe.

Something I've always wondered: do the current values take inflation into account? I.E. if an item's value hasn't changed, does that mean it's actually gone down due to inflation?

And a justified one.
