So I decided to abstract that part away from the real code I'm writing.

I probably just could've installed redis on my local or ensured that it is available in CI, but both already have #docker and we already used testcontainers a bit in other parts of our service.

The redis/go-redis package isn't exactly resilient against underlying topology changes when doing certain Pub/Sub things, and in writing code to make it more resilient, I found that it's difficult to create a cluster with testcontainers without a lot of boilerplate or configuration.

I needed something to emulate issues with service resiliency when doing sharded Pub/Sub with a Redis cluster run in #kubernetes - specifically with rescheduled nodes.

Did a thing to make #testing against a #redis cluster in #golang a bit easier for myself, but maybe it's useful for others, too.

This is a module for #testcontainers that forms a Redis cluster and gives an API to stop/pause/restart nodes in a targeted way.

The latest Pixel update made it so my phone doesn't ring or vibrate when calls come in.

It works in repair mode. A factory reset worked until my data was fully restored.

Google support offered:

- bring it to a repair shop
- send it to be repaired
- full replacement

Why's (Poignant) Guide to Ruby A programming adventure for Ruby beginners illustrated with cartoon foxes.

Is there a new, or could there be, poignant.guide type thing out there? Is the whimsy gone? Are we left to rot with our vibes?

Hey tho seriously, people who work on OSS, and who wants a consistent way to "declare intent"/"set expectations" about the stuff you publish, from one-offs to serious stuff, would having a framework/convention like this actually help you?

Is there some aspect that would be more useful?

Would make a neat radar chart. Reminds me of character development. It'd be neat to also have a license category apply.coop is AUMC I guess, although it's young, so I chose unstable since we haven't yet hit v1
