I mean, the world isn't always what defines a game's enjoyment for some people, so it is understandable why they might not feel it's a big problem like you do.
Doesn't necessarily mean they accept mediocrity. It just means that one particular aspect of a game being mediocre isn't a dealbreaker.

I do generally agree with your stance on this matter and them demanding you "redact" what you said is pretty childish.
Probably could do without that image, though.
Perils in the Pit ๐ (Human Goombella & Paper Mario)
Honestly, that seems pretty in character for them.
Something that particularly annoys me about this video is the fact that its very existence paints Brothership fans, such as myself, in a bad light. Plus, it's pretty dumb that one review became a significant part of this game's legacy to begin with, and videos like this one only add to the problem.
I've heard a lot of mixed opinions on this DLC, interestingly.
With Wonder having introduced the Bubble Flower, it would be cool to see some enemies based around it like these.
This is one of the last games I would've expected people to be speedrunning.
Welp, guess it's time for the next wave of "Nintendo only makes mediocre games now!!!" videos.
One thing that I love about Nintendo in the 2020s is how most of their single player games have some of the most insane or impactful moments that even long-time fans genuinely wouldn't expect. They are willing to take risks with their most-beloved franchises to create memorable experiences for fans.
Yep, and I think that would also probably be the best path for the series moving forward.
Uh... does Vivian not exist?
This is very true.
I really don't care about how long a game is if I enjoy playing it. There are some games I enjoy that only last 5 hours, and others that last 50+ hours. Both are perfectly fine if I enjoy the overall experience.
Filled in as much as I could, but there are some categories I haven't played that much of.
Yeah... if you're talking about a very old game that's no longer officially being sold, I don't think that should be considered morally questionable anymore. If the devs or publishers aren't going to preserve the game, someone's gotta do it.
If I was to guess, it's because it's the only Paper Mario that doesn't feature turn-based combat (Well, beyond the fight against Underchomp, of course).
I will say, I have felt that the definition of an RPG can be fuzzy at times. I just consider all of them Mario RPGs for simplicity's sake.
Dr. Koopley (maybe I could've had his shell out and have stars on that but eh)
I do question why so many people insist that asking for that is somehow a bad thing. I mean, I guess in their mind, they're just trying to be realistic and not get people's hopes up?
Even still, there are no set in stone rules when it comes to Nintendo. They break tradition all the time.
You know, as a challenge runner, I get pretty tired of people saying Nintendo games are too easy.
If it's really too easy for you, then find a way to make it harder. These games are often very flexible by design, and as such, can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels. That's not a bad thing.
Finished! #papermario
Thankfully, this has supposedly stopped, as Nintendo likely realized what's going on, but this is still a huge mess nonetheless.
Yikes, this is disastrous.

The most we can do as individuals is ignore that kind of content as much as possible.
If you see this, QTP with your favorite Mario character.
Probably not the most unique choice, but I've always liked him, especially in games where more of his personality is allowed to show, such as the Mario RPGs.
My next Mario & Luigi: Brothership video, in which I begin playing through this game's final act, is up now:

I don't really get it either. Even if it does have some flaws, I still think it's the best new Mario RPG we've had in a very long time. Part of me worries that the Mario RPG community just can't be happy with anything anymore.
Sadly, I've seen people crapping on it on a fairly regular basis. A decent number of them are probably trolls, but still.
I actually remember that being by far the game I played most on the Wii U. What a time that was.
