Sounds good. I’m going! Although I’m a bit scared by the cat. Looks like it knows too much.

I’m sticking that one on my list. Looks right up my street. (The pub not the cat.) Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese round the corner is another old quirky one that I enjoy.
Have just bought an annual membership to the V&A so my daughter can get to see the Marie Antoinette exhibition, and the standard of my Facebook adverts hasn’t half gone up a few levels.
Coffee and cup-a-soup sequentially (acceptable)? Or coffee and cup-a-soup in parallel (disturbing)?
At a New Year get together last night I got to hear my daughter try to explain ‘The Archers’ to other teenage girls. “So it’s like if Eastenders was a podcast?”. I feel old.
Careful with that. Being a hardcore washed-up gambling addict isn’t always as much fun as it appears.
It usually is though…
In my dream last night Chrissie Hynde and New Model Army announced they were going to do a cover of ‘Fairy Tale of New York’.
I wouldn’t mind hearing that to be honest.
So is Slow Horses set in the same universe as the Whoopi Goldberg film Jumpin’ Jack Flash?
Always be recruiting. Always be looking out for the talented, the original thinkers, the ones who do more than talk. Take note of those who create impact regardless of their position, the big successes, the small achievements that signal real ability. Keep an eye on those who develop others 1/

I was admiring the incredible lion and then noticed what looks like a brilliant gun in the top left!
Reminds me of when I was young. I assumed drawing was the only hobby and that was how every other child spent their entire time.
I’ll believe you, thousands wouldn’t :)
Herbal cigarette?
Happy Birthday!
Goodbye to the Manor Quay. Had some good nights there. It’s where I got together with my wife, and I saw some decent bands.
A simmering pan of pease pudding ingredients.
First attempt at making the north-east staple, pease pudding. I have high hopes!
As an aside, by lunchtime they’d figured out how to unlock and re lock the secure bags.
As part of my daughter’s school’s mobile phone ban (they get locked in special bags) I have to write a letter to the teachers on any day she decides not to take hers in.
The world’s turned upside down.
‘Guess the six’. You continually roll a dice until you get a six and then the other person has to guess what number you’ve rolled.
Nice! It’s also reminded me of something I read in Spy Catcher. When doing building work on the new Russian embassy in London we made sure to include some bugs. We numbered them randomly. When the Russians found the bugs they tore the building apart looking for the rest they assumed must be there.
My friend does them. He did a mashup of The Prodigy and Public Enemy that The Prodigy liked so much they popped a version of it on an album youtu.be/kcuK_Pv8ouY?...
