Not sure about this Don David blend of high altitude Malbec grapes.
Tastes a little too acidic. Might improve after a few more sips but this made me shudder on first taste.

Memory Lane Wednesday...
I'm sure you've heard the enchanting story of Greyfriars Bobby. Did you know that there is a SECOND Bobby? Film Star Bobby?
His story is just as delightful.
Join me in this video hear about BOTH Bobbys.

How are the Fish & Chips at Eyemouth’s famous Giacopazzi’s?
Watch this week’s video. We also get DRENCHED on a RIB Boat Trip.

Probably the best red wine you can get.
Ravenswood Lodi Zinfandel is quite hard to find these days, so when we find a bottle, it’s a special treat.

Argentina this week - Altaland Malbec.
The label sold it to me. Went over the £10 budget slightly. It’s definitely got flavour of red and black fruit and a hint of violets. Needs a few sips to settle but it gets warmer.
8.5/10 - maybe a 9 by the second glass.

Messed up (kind of). This Greek wine has an interesting story (read the back label) - and it tastes to me like Port (but on further research it is a “port-like wine”.
Think this must have been on the wrong self in ASDA.
Won’t score this - but I’m not keen.

It's Video Memory Lane Wednesday - Let's go on a FAST Uber Boat on the Thames in London.
There's more. We also try out the Docklands Cable Car.

Look at this fabulous bridge. I saw it as I was driving into the Scottish Borders on a filming trip and stopped to take a look.
It’s the Leaderfoot Viaduct, near Melrose spanning the river Tweed and built in 1863.
This Breakfast in North Berwick was a Plan B. But it was pretty delicious.
Find out why in this week's video: youtu.be/GvC4AUXG-3k
One of my favourite homemade curries. Chicken Rajeshwari - smothered in garlic, cherry tomatoes, green peppers and chilli!
Yum!

This Cali Red blend was selected Snoop Dogg (which gives us the image on the bottle).
A grower. I started thinking it’s a 7 but I’ve upped it to 8/10 after a few sips.
Deep fruit and oak and I’m sure there’s chocolate as well.

Best looking bottle of Red we’ve seen for a while. Glorious simplicity. Uno Malbec from Argentina.
The wine inside doesn’t quite live up to the promise of the bottle design. It’s an okay Malbec but not amazing.

So now we have a timetable for the phasing out of the ScotRail HSTs to be replaced by refurbished Class 222s (which look very smart in the photo).
Sad to say farewell to the HSTs but it’s time.
Shame though there’s no way the seats in the “new” trains will be as good as the ones in the HSTs.
Now that Jalfrezi was banging!

One from the archives this week. Everything got on top of me - bad weather, Glasgow Central closed by a fire, and illness meant I had to abandon a couple of videos. Sorry!

Enjoy the his blast from the past.
This Magnum of Mauricio Lorca Malbec from Argentina is already a good red - with the additional depth brought by its Reserva Status.
Very deep flavours. And on the reverse label it says, “May result in spontaneous toasts.” Love it!

Had these delicious fish & chips in Kelso in the Scottish Borders. Great price and the town is absolutely stunning.
