Like Oregon, much of Calif. is purple. The liberal population is condensed into city centers and the rural, less populated areas then to be more conservative. Riverside has historically been very sparsely populated, so I'm guessing the conservative trend has held there (my husband grew up there).

He's just scraping by, really. 😆
