At least I understand first hand now how getting fraud prevention wrong can erode customer loyalty and trust. Helpful as software engineer that works in fraud prevention and in loyalty.

I didn't bother with dispute because they're exhausting. 5 months later I still have not been shopping on doordash. They keep emailing me about my monthly $5 credit and my dashpass benefits but I still don't trust them to deliver my food when I pay for it and to return my money when they don't. 😕
It's honestly still hard to believe "Selected Ambient Works" came out in the early 90s. The sound is so far ahead of its time.

Zero Waste Day in #Boston! Dropped off some old broken electronics.
Skipped the long line because I was on a bike 😏
Saw some baby geese and some whimsical "upgrades" to signage.

A pink construction paper envelope with children’s handwriting that reads “To: Bus driver From: Me”
Among my regular passengers on the 44 are two young boys who ride with their grandma from California and 6th Ave all the way to Silver and Palou. The older brother is possibly a 2nd grader. Last night as they were getting off my bus, he handed me this hand made envelope.
The moon is out! 😅
It looks like it might be too cloudy to see the eclipse 🤔🌙 maybe I'll watch it on a YouTube
Called and they said they could not give a refund. The person on the phone was very polite though which I appreciated. I did tell them I will unfortunately dispute the charge.
I really just wanted my food. Not a new order or a credit or a refund. It feels like everything is breaking in small ways 😞
Had a hard day so I ordered a late meal on doordash last night. never got my order (or a delivery picture for that matter) so I pressed didn't get my order after checking around the front of the house and trying to call the driver. Automated system assumed I want a refund then declined to give it.
While fun, software engineering can occasionally be contagious. If this occurs when bit masking can help!
It would probably save a lot of time to just put pictures of the products with a barcode where the shelf is and have people have in-store pickup at the end of their shopping session 😂
"After non endorsement 250,000 subscribers cancel the Washington Post" reports the Washington Post on a paywalled post where the Washington Post asks you to subscribe to the Washington Post for as low as 1 dollar a week for the first year billed as 4 dollars every 4 weeks

The neighborhood turkeys hanging out on the sidewalk inspecting a bush next to a wooden fence. One of them was nibbling at it.
Today all the neighborhood turkeys were out.

"'It feels like I'm not crazy.' Gardeners aren't surprised as USDA updates key map."
TL;DR: The USDA has updated its plant hardiness zone map, showing that half the country has shifted into a new zone due to warming temperatures.

An X spokesperson declined to comment (maybe they're not a spokesperson anymore? We'll report more if we hear it)
Soon you'll be finding your exes on X, as the embattled company formerly known as Twitter moves into the dating space. According to two sources present on a call, Elon Musk declared the company would become a dating app.
I hear that, but it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rationality.
I think I went to all the wrong places because I didn't see anything exciting this Allston Christmas 😂
When I look at this I see Apple... bees 😆
Don't get your hopes up. I heard the release was delayed til spring 😬

A view of the courtyard at the Central Library in Copley square. There are white arches in background, a fountain among low plants and shrubs. There's also a plant in the foreground.
Weather was great today! Had lunch in the courtyard at the Central library.

I haven't posted because I'm not sure what to post here yet.
