I took a fresh baked batch of cookies to work with me today. I received the highest compliment from our resident grumpy security guard, who let me know “they were fabulous”. I’m marking that as a win in my book

It has a cardboard skeleton and paper mache outside. I used the traditional paper mache recipe with a cooked flour paste and copy paper. It’s finally fully dry and it looks so good 💖

Hummus spaghetti with sautéed spinach and arugula, topped with lemon zest

It is finished.

Ingredients for hummus pasta: sun dried tomato hummus, spinach and arugula, spaghetti, lemon and zest, salt and pepper, 4 garlic cloves smashed, and a diced shallot.

Found a hummus pasta recipe that I just had to try. I did make a few ✨creative changes by using sun dried tomato hummus and adding some spinach and arugula into the sauce. I’ll update when it’s finished.

My MAGA coworker just also happens to be the one who avoids doing any work at all costs.

Personally I am a fan of the weaponized compliance from California redistricting in favor of blue 😆 it is a bit ridiculous that it’s come to this, but I say lean in. We aren’t going to win this fight without getting a little dirty.

The US’s biggest problem with this is gerrymandering. Cities tend to lean blue always. While rural areas tend to lean red (with significantly smaller populations) but the voting districts are drawn up in such a way that densely populated blue areas look smaller than they are.

Not to mention there’s this “us vs them” mentality when it comes to cities and rural areas. I grew up in a rural area outside of STL and my grandma would always go on and on about how dangerous the cities are. But I moved to CO springs at 19, then KC at 20, and I have felt much safer in the cities.

A fair amount of rural Midwesterns are but it’s more to do with their lack of education and critical thinking skills. Take people who don’t have much and they are more likely to fall for scams.

Daylight savings day was like three weeks ago for us 👀 but No Kings here in KC got me all emotional 💖 people were everywhere it was beautiful

I’ve been getting more opportunities to practice resetting center stones. Today I reset two ovals, a pear, and a marquise shaped diamond(s). Most of the rings required prongs to be rebuilt and all of them required some retipping.
