This has literally been my life but at some point you need to choose yourself. You need to choose having health insurance and knowing you can pay rent. It's heartbreaking but it's also out of my control. The number of femme POC doing this work thins by the day. And there were already so few of us!

I question if I'll be able to stay every single day. I honestly don't think I'll be able to. I bring years of experience to my work. I ran a successful Nintendo blog as a teenager back in 2009. I worked as staff at Polygon. I was among the first freelancers to contribute games coverage to NPR.

My husband was laid off and we’re kind of at a loss right now. If anyone has any leads on PR jobs, please reach out to him.
