A dear friend, Deyane Moses is leading the charge to restore this amazing Tom Miller mural (that I drive by so often - so I know you do too!) Let's lend our names to support and funds if you've got'em! actionnetwork.org/petitions/re...

I hope it actually turned out to be funnnn and enriching! I'm so proud!!!!
living in the bizarro world where employers send out what is "permissible" and "impermissible" for programs and activities and how we must be in "compliance with legal and regulatory anti-discrimination requirements." what a time to be alive.

I am so excited for Wally Lamb's new book!!!!
Georgia O’Keeffe could see the dramatic geological formation known as the White Place, or Plaza Blanca, from a window in her home near Abiquiu, New Mexico. Composed of white stone that provides a stark contrast to the colors of the surrounding terrain, the White Place was whittled and smoothed by water and wind over centuries into a striking formation resembling columns, cliffs, and spires. O’Keeffe painted it a number of times, and in The White Place in Sun, she selected a view that emphasizes a deep cleft in the formation. The V-shaped composition enabled her to focus on the interplay between the brilliant blue sky, the eerie white color, and horizontal striations of the carved rock. my favorite bartender told me something when 'he who shall not be named' won the presidency that I can't stop thinking about. He said that we were about to enter "another 4 years of Mondays" and it's so accurate - a sensation that we can all recognize -

Two good blogs I read this week: @kdrabinski.bsky.social's reflections resonate & make my heart feel better: whatisawridingmybikearoundtoday.com/2025/02/11/c... and Tracy's run recap, reminding me of the highs/lows of running thoughts & what bodies are capable of: poetsthatsweat.com/2025/02/09/t...

I don't mean to be unfaithful to what community we can build here, but I'm not digging the ways connecting only online makes me feel. I need face to face. I've been on a social break for a bit and logged on here today to see all of the harm already done...it's a growing list and I need to step away.
