Obviously Darklords are heavily inspired by Christian mythos, but the more recent waves pull particularly from Milton's Paradise Lost; fairly easy to see, too, with Morningstar's sympathetic posing and literal "Rebellion" against Solemn Johnson/God.

Obviously all the Darklords take heavy inspiration from Christian imagery and mythos, but the specifically the Morningstar stuff seems to take heavy inspiration from Paradise Lost in particular, with its focus on Lucifer's war on God and Morningstar being a somewhat sympathetic character.

I'm so mad we missed out ont he VSK9 threepeat. Not because I love VSK9, but because Razen going from 3 to 1 to 3 to 0 would have been the funniest series of banlist changes ever.

Asked this on a discord and so far the only criticism I've gotten is "it's wincest, not gemcest". Incredible things happening here folks

Important question. I'm sick of the "Are Evil Twins siblings or girlfriends" debate, it's overdone and boring. My question is if it's BOTH, and if yes, is it gemcest or midcest?

Kind of at a point where I'm pretty happy with my BPRO pure Darklord decklist. This archetype still isn't great and needs the BLZD/Battles cards to really get going, but this has been performing better than I expected. Also petdecking go brrr. Also ignore side it's a WiP.

I think people should actually cheat and stall more but only against people who clearly suck. Like if you have a hentai mat at a regionals rather than judge calling, I'm just stacking.

Overall other than the Snatchy limit I really like these changes, just wish we had gotten some interesting unhits or even more flood bans like Kristya. Solid 8/10 list for me.

VS stuff: I always felt the toxic parts of VS were Sue and K9, so the fact those got swapped for raw consistency is REALLY nice imo
Droll: Hopefully a sign of what's to come
Every other unlim: Who gives a shit lmao (Inclusion actually kinda matters tho realtalk)

Habakiri: If they had to hit Mitsu, this is the least harsh consistency hit, reasonable imo
Snatchy: Probs the only hit here I dislike, I would've liked to see Yummy without Arc Light legal and this borderline kills the deck

Mululu/Ketu: I would have preferred the hypothetical Flame hit but these are reasonably impactful without killing the deck
Jokull/Case: Ripper ban wasn't happening so massively hitting your good Jokull copies is the next best thing tbh

YGO banlist thoughts by hit:
Torrents: Good get the rest of these fuckers too
Binder: I like this card a lot but idk I can't blame them for wanting Maliss dead in a ditch
Arc: HITLER IS DEAD
Feather Storm: MUSSOLINI IS DEAD

Another Pokémon game, I maintain that Pokémon Rangers: Shadows of Almia is the best game in the franchise. Not the Rangers series, but the franchise. Love this one.

It's Deltarune, I feel I don't have to justify this one much; shoutout to Glowing Snow and Dialtone being the best songs on the OST. Also I got to play through the entire game for my girlfriend to watch so it gets bonus points.

Not only is Signalis an amazing game, but it singlehandedly skyrocketed my opinion of sci-fi horror. Not that I disliked it before, just this game really did a number on my brain chemistry regarding it. I also got to play it for the first time during Joseph's modcast, so fond memories from that, too

Had to drop a mainline Pokémon game at some point, and Pokémon White is definitely the most representative for me. Not only is Gen 5 still my favorite, this was the first Pokémon game I played for the first time at an age where I was sentient enough to understand everything happening.

There are very few mobile games I give much credit to, but Alto's Odyssey is one of maybe 5-10 that I do. Gorgeous visuals, a really finetuned arcade runner gameplay experience, great sound design; genuinely a huge fan of this as my non-puzzle mobile game of choice.

Similarly, Othello/Reversi as a whole is my personal chess substitute. Once in a while I'll get sort of hyper focused on getting better at this game for a month or two before petering out.

Weird one, but Katana Nonograms here is less as a "this specific game is important to me" and more as a general representation of "I play a lot of nonograms as my go-to puzzle of choice/thing I do as a replayable mobile game"

Nier: Automata is the game I'm playing through currently and I've been enjoying it a ton. Just hit the point in route B that I feel it really begins to split from route A (after Amusement Park) and I'm having fun with the new quests+REALLY looking forward to whatever happens after the whale fight.

I play a lot of incremental games, and to this day, A Dark Room stands out as the best I've played. Not exactly a hot take, but between the added story, fun mechanics once you can access exploration, pleasant playtime, and multiple endings, this is in a class of its own within its genre

Great childhood memories of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, still my favorite of the Mario & Luigi series to this day for nostalgia reasons. Funny story, in the first fight against Cackletta, the black holes+lightning scared me so much as a kid I almost threw my GBA across the room LMAO

Poképark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure is the first game I ever 100%ed as a child. I am not kidding.

Crazy pull here, but Book of Mages: The Dark Times was my shit during the peak of Flash games. Easily played this more than any other one, although I can't speak to if it holds up. I should probably play through it again soon at some point.

Star of Providence is probably the game I play most these days just because it's such a well made and replayable rogue-lite. Really cool aesthetic and some fun lore on top of obviously good gameplay. The runs are way longer than the average rogue-lite though, if anyone plans to try it.

Hollow Knight, another favorite and a huge part of why I began playing more Metroidvanias. Great art, great world, great feeling combat, and GREAT music. Shoutout to the Radiance and Sealed Vessel OSTs, incredible setup for the final boss(es).

My favorite game of all time, TES III: Morrowind. An incredibly weird yet engaging world, one of the most interesting magic systems of all time in spellcrafting, and an extremely lively modding scene that keeps the game fresh well after its lifespan.
