(Also I burst out laughing when I saw that the US version also makes you replay the previous area if you die at the boss- the Japanese one puts you back in the boss room instead. Combine that with no continues in the US version and wow, VIC Tokai really said, 'Fuck rental players", huh~)

One of the things mentioned in the paraphrased Wikipedia version is that Round 5 was cut short because of time constraints, which lines up with an unused 5 graphic in the US version's data, but I'd love to see the original page if it still exists

Going for a long shot here, but I'm looking into Magical Doropie / The Krion Conquest stuff.
The following is a dead link to a developer Q&A for the game, paraphrased on Wikipedia but not archived by Wayback Machine

Did anyone save this while it was online?
In the meantime, since predictably no western reviewers of note ever gave the original Bunny Garden the time of day (or at least, according to Metacritic), I took it upon myself in 2024 to give it that write-up. Hardly an essential game, but one with a more interesting lineage than most realize. 👇
And ready for everyone is this piece on the value of old and "outdated" reviews and perspectives. Gaming's critical past is an important resource and provider of now oft-forgetten views:

The solution, as with many of life's problems, is to play arcade games ^^
There is an answer to this!

The warning on the back of the box for Hoi for the Amiga, cropped from the scan on GameFAQs, printed in red text on a black background. ☆☆ Warning ☆☆ Warning ☆☆ Warning ☆☆ The strobo-scopic effects used in the fifth and final level of this game could trigger EPILEPTIC SEIZURES. Should you be at risk, we ask that you quit the game at the end of the fourth level.
With that last repost, a quick warning: the fifth and final level of Hoi uses extremely intense flashing and strobing effects, to the point where even the back of the box warns you about it, so please be careful if you have light sensitivity / epilepsy issues!

Yeah, Hot Chase is one I'd really like to see! Cutie Q is an obvious one as well :V We might be due a Namco game next week, so...?
I decided to re-register an account to enjoy the memes of our 1990s #MoonChild game. 😁👍
I designed Hoi and Moon Child. Reinier van Vliet coded it, and Ramon Braumuller made the soundtrack.

Those of you with a keen eye may have noticed Namco's name on the Japanese flyer. That's because Konami allowed them to distribute the game in exchange for Namco allowing them to design the game as an upgrade kit for Pole Position deluxe cabinets.
