Calling all amazing #AQA #historyteachers out there - any good teaching resources for the Tudors for Component 1 Breadth Study? Would be grateful for any help, thanks!

Listened to Tabitha Stanmoreβs amazing webinar on the witch trials organised by the Historical Association. The close collaboration of historians and history teachers is a true asset of this great community, and Iβm so glad that I am part of it!

Celebrating the end of placements! This year has been very challenging and rewarding at the same time. Both the students and the endless history chats made this year amazing!
(Featuring a leaving present from some very memorable students :D)

Asked Year 10s to create a freeze frame that shows the impacts of the Norman Conquest. Gave Year 7s character cards so they can be people living in the Mongol Empire. Yes facts are important in history, but I also want the kids to imagine it, feel it and recreate it.
I have asked my Year 10s to create an avatar living in a Medieval English village and write a Time Travellerβs guide to Medieval English towns. Thanks to @camedfac.bsky.socialβs #historyPGCE programme for always letting me get as creative as I want in my history lessons :)
