The novelty of transit was huge for my kid when we were in DC and he loved the chance to take the Metro everywhere.

omg a cocker spaniel ran out into a busy 4-lane road yesterday. We all stopped in time, but couldn’t catch it. It scampered down a side street and when I was following it, its owner was there and picked it up! “Oh we don’t like leashes.” My guy, the dog almost got pancaked by a truck!! Come on!

I freaked out about how long furniture wait times can be for custom fabric options, so I went with the in-stock gray and it was at my house in 48 hours.

The biggest endorsement for me was a friend who had one, loved it so much she bought ANOTHER one, though the first one is still going strong a decade later as the basement couch the kids crash around on.

Not sure about what size you need, but the Radley couches from Macy's are so solid, came recommended from a ton of friends who've had them survive kids + pets, and the sectionals/chaise pieces are often on sale! Still $1500/$2k, but they're rad.

DL has been a great way for me to keep up the skills I've already got, but I've pointed soooo many folks towards Tofugu if they're looking to learn!
