Something for Saturday 🚫👑

Making a sleeveless coat! I wanted to make at least 1 coat during March, and I thought something long and sleek would be a nice contrast to a lot of the comfy projects I had planned. This will be a whole day of sewing, since a larger and slightly more complicated piece!

Today we're spending the whole day making a coat! It was something a little more complex I really wanted to try, and I designed something the other day that should fit the "coat" brief! Should be colourful!

Raincoat design! Baggy raincoat made of different colour rainbow patches. The fabric patches will be cut from the bags, so you have some larger rectangles, and some smaller ones.

The bags mentioned in the post hanging on a clothing rail. Each of these bags has a sewing project in them - cut patterns and fabric ready to go. Most of these have been sewn at this point!

To help me organize 30+ projects ahead of this month, I bagged them all with their patterns and parts. NOW I have 30+ bags.

I am trying to make as little waste as possible this month, so I'm planning to sew them into a coat next week!

I will be playing Resident Evil 9 all day! Resident Evil is one of my fave series and I cant wait to play the newest game in the franchise! No art share today, as we'll be focused on horror!

Last gaming stream this month, and I'm pretty sure im nowhere near the end! We'll see, I have no idea how much is left and I like the mystery. Regardless it should be a good time!

Group Collab making Beanies! I love crochet, and I wanted to do a simple crochet project for a full day of streaming, where people could join easily. For that reason, 24th March is Beanie day! You can knit, crochet or sew your beanies (I will be crocheting mine). I am linking some patterns in the materials document, but you'd also be welcome to bring your own!

CosplayMeg has made some amazing costumes, and so for this collab with them, we're planning to make the same style of shirt; one for a costume and one for everyday wear! A lot of streamers joining the event expressed an interest in designing outfits together, so this is a group collab where streamers can drop in and out and make outfits together! 2:00pm Afternoon snack 2:30pm: Art share! 3:00pm Learning to knit with UltearLight! I love crochet, but I have never quite managed to learn to knit. Luckily, we have Ultear: a streamer who has made amazing knitted pieces on stream, to help me out! We'll be making cup coasters (basically knitted squares) since you can then use those for anything!

Taking another break from crafts to continue RE9! I think I am still pretty early in the game BUT I am loving it so far! Feels like there's still a lot of mystery to work out >.>

Personally, I would love to use it more in cosplay, but in this case, I will be making something to make an everyday piece a little extra fancy! 2:30pm: Afternoon snack 3:00pm: Art Share! 3:30pm: Fingerless Glove crochet with Strooooble! Although this months projects are centered around making a wardrobe of clothing, not all of those projects need to be sewn! Strooble has very kindly agreed to join me in a collab to make a crocheted accessory: fingerless gloves. These are super handy as a crafter in the winter, when I am wanted to embroider late at night and my hands get cold, plus its super easy to make these!

We'll be hand stitching costume gloves (yes with stretch fabric, we've got this!) and then decorating them. The idea is that this project could be useful for handcam streamers, vtubers and cosplayers! One of my goals for this event is to make a 3 piece suit and Zomboti has very kindly agreed to join me in making a waistcoat for it! I love Bob Ross videos, but why do the paintings always have to go onto a canvas board? Taking a little break from sewing, to play the new resident evil game! RE7 is still one of my favorite horror games (I also liked 8 but 7s' setting was soooo good!) I can't wait to get into 9!
