Son of a lifelong CBS executive here. My Dad kept a picture of Murrow in his office & worked w/Cronkite. This is disgusting.

Big thanks to @repaprildelaney.bsky.social for co-sponsoring the ASAP Act to require Medicare to cover Alzheimer's blood tests & the AADAPT Act to train doctors online. On behalf of so many in Western Maryland & all over Maryland, thanks to @repaprildelaney.bsky.social for her leadership. #endalz

A cut to Alzheimer's research of over $300 million. Start with that. #endalz

The President's budget proposes to cut Alzheimer's research by over $300 million. Absolutely unacceptable, and every Member of Congress on both sides of the aisle should speak out against this outrageous proposal. #endalz

Absolutely inappropriate and galling that the head of NIH is speaking at an ultra right wing political event. How about if he focuses on doing his job. #endalz

Truly a disaster. The World News Roundup, the flagship CBS News radio broadcast, started in 1938. Survived through so much, but could not survive Bari Weiss.

Son of a lifelong CBS exec here. My dad kept a picture of Murrow in his office & worked on Cronkite's team for years. He & his colleagues excelled by getting the news on the air first & getting it right. Laying off employees, keeping stories off the air & cheering a fascist President is not OK.

Great meeting w/@repaprildelaney.bsky.social to discuss Alzheimer's-- bills to require Medicare to cover Alzheimer's blood tests (H.R. 6130), to educate clinicians on Alzheimer's (H.R. 3747), & for a tax credit for caregivers (H.R. 2036). Looking forward to working w/her on these bills. #endalz

Crucial Alzheimer's research from @washumedadrc.bsky.social. I'm so proud that @alzassociation.bsky.social was a funder for this research. One of the most vexing questions about Alzheimer's is its progression. Predicting the progression goes hand-in-hand w/the timing of treatments. #endalz

Advocacy always feels good. Today, I testified yet again to the DC Council Health Committee, this time pushing for a law to require DC clinicians to get training on the new developments re Alzheimer's. So necessary to get early detection, so DC residents can get treatments. More to come. #endalz

I will be testifying yet again to the DC Council Health Committee on Alzheimer's. This time, my focus will be on improving the training of DC healthcare providers so they are aware of recent developments & can make an early diagnosis in time to provide treatment options. #endalz

My wife and I, along with many members of our temple, Temple Micah in DC, were very proud to join this protest. We stood up to Pharaoh, & we are standing up to Trump.

Thanks so much @kim.senate.gov for continuing to speak out about how hard, how expensive, & how all consuming it is to take care of someone w/Alzheimer's. You are one of us, you are not alone. #endalz

Very disturbing that the NIH Director is making false statements to the Senate & will not simply rule out terminating clinical trials in the future. Come on.

Outrageous that the NIH Director is turning our nation's medical research agency into an arm of the ultra right wing political movement. The Alzheimer's community counts on NIH to lead the world in finding a cure, but his stated goal is to drive ultra right wing science denial. So bad. #endalz

After Donations, Trump Administration Revoked Rule Requiring More Nursing Home Staff

Pure corruption at its worst. The nursing home staffing rule would have saved an estimated 13,000 lives per year & improved care for so many more, including many w/Alzheimer's or other dementia. Bribing Trump to repeal this rule- horrible.

60 Minutes always had celebrity profiles- Morley Safer's profile of Jackie Gleason was one of the best segments ever. But never has 60 Minutes had an all-celebrity episode like last night.

Son of a lifelong CBS executive here. My Dad worked on 60 Minutes for years. The destruction of CBS News by Bari Weiss to advance Trump's fascist agenda is horrible.

This doesn't count the number of people who had to switch to a bronze plan- with a vastly higher deductible. Absolutely terrible.

It's hard to fathom all the outrages we are living through, but the one below stands out- so far, 1.5 million people have lost their health insurance due to Trump's initiative to destroy the ACA. And, that number is going to grow once people have to start making payments at the exorbitant prices.

Son of a lifelong CBS executive here. My Dad kept a picture of Murrow in his office & worked with Cronkite for years. I have no words for how terrible this destruction of CBS News is.

Son of a lifelong CBS executive here. My dad spent 27 years getting CBS News on the air first w/every big story. He worked on 60 Minutes from its inception. Spiking a story would have been anathema to him.

One more time- Go Go Go @kim.senate.gov! It's vital that the FCC Chair & Commissioners follow their oath to the Constitution, not the whims of this President or any President.

Go Go Go @kim.senate.gov! Absolutely crucial points that he made about why the FCC needs to be independent of this President and any President.

Just left the Senate Floor after hearing @kim.senate.gov’s maiden speech. It takes real courage to speak openly about your family’s health challenges. His story of becoming a caregiver resonates with so many Americans. His voice will help these families feel seen.

So proud of @kim.senate.gov for speaking out about Alzheimer's and caregiving. Exactly, it shouldn't be this hard. When my wife & I were knocking on doors for Andy in NJ in November 2018, we knew he was special. Thank you so much @kim.senate.gov. You are one of us. #endalz

I'm honored to have President @barackobama.bsky.social on Team Mikie.

This movement is about delivering something better for New Jersey — lower costs, more opportunity for our kids, and a government that's truly accountable to the people.
