I like to be able to choose what I want to myself and then pay for it precisely once.

The appeal of cassettes for me is that playback is the same every time, same tracklisting, same gaps, same side A side B... I can hold the tape in my hands because I own it.. I can play it without logon, WiFi, passwords, adverts, other distractions.
Plus, I very much like pressing physical buttons

What a tune

I just love this JVC PC-50 and this tune still excites me as much as when I first heard it.
It amazes me the quality of a 42 year old TDK AD90 with a recording off Paul Gambaccini's show.... I wonder if *anything* we buy this week will last for more than 4 decades...
