A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue and Green are laying down, with Blue deeply asleep and Green wrapped around him. Green grimaces in discomfort as Blue radiates heat.
Green, thinking: Uuuug. I want to cuddle, but you're just too warm!

Green gets up, looking at Blue who is still contenty asleep, still radiating heat.
Green, still thinking: ...Hmmm. Now what do I do?

Minutes later, Green is sitting next to Blue, wearing a chef hat and wielding a spatula, frying eggs on Blue's belly. Slowly waking up, Blue frowns in confusion.
Blue: ...What are you doing?

Blue calmly accepts his fate as Green answers nonchalantly.
Green: Making you a breakfast in bed.
Blue: Okay.

The image shows a text post from a tumble user with the handle "theconcealedweapon" making an argument about the importance of protecting the rights of criminals as a safeguard against government tyranny. The post presents the following key points:

If you want to prevent government tyranny, ensuring criminals have rights must be your top priority
This is not meant as a joke or exaggeration
Without rights for criminals, governments can simply label people as criminals to strip away their rights
The post claims this has been a common tactic of tyrannical governments throughout history
The post concludes that believing people who break laws should forfeit their rights is effectively supporting tyranny

The argument centers on the idea that due process and legal protections for accused/convicted persons are fundamental safeguards against authoritarian government overreach.

idk! many thoughts with no real answers. all i know for certain it's that there is a lot of pain around

i choose to hold your hand even when you're on fire, for the burning sensation it's just a temporary pain within a larger scenario that brings you back into not being in flames anymore. we both benefit long term by a temporary discomfort...by reinforcing our human connection we assure mutual care...

so keeping that in mind as a baseline of thought - how do we teach each other to be compassionate even when it hurts? how do we allow each other to hurt?

sometimes being distraught it's a healthy sign of a connection i think...

i dont think we have been taught how to truly connect as people. i dont think the kind of society we have built has given us the space to actually learn how to do it to begin with...

lately been thinking a lot about how to actually care4 and help people through a crisis. i feel like learning it its gonna become so important with every passing year...i dislike a lot the general recent vibe of "protecting one's sense of peace first"...if we do not take care of 1 then we all fall..
