The last time I missed a flight (due to a fatality accident when a piece of heavy equipment on a flatbed wouldn't fit under a bridge) I got stuck in Fort Wayne for a whole day because the next flight out that was available wasn't until the day after.

That's not my idea of a good time.

All of the just miss a flight every so often discourse is driven by hub city people who are flying direct to places with multiple flights a day who probably don’t have actual schedules a priorities when they arrive,
