Backyard friends are back for spring

Kind of airport dependent. Philly or Boston, yours for sure. Smaller ones, 90 minutes is normally fine.

My body, weekdays: Who dare awaken me from my slumber at the unholy hour of 7:10 am!

Overall: 7.5/10. Not going to replace my favourite places in Reading Terminal Market or Dalessandro's (though I hear their quality has dipped), but good enough for a 4-6 time a year run town to get a cheesesteak and not feel underwhelmed.

(Also, fries were amazing!)

The bad:

Steak needed like one more run through with the knives. Chunks were still big enough that the cheese didn't melt all the way through the meat.

The 'default' is more of a cheesesteak hoagie, with sauce and bell peppers. But you can take them off, so not bad.

Provolone was a mild.

The good:

The roll was fantastic. 10/10 no notes. Amoroso and perfect cheesesteak texture.

They used provolone cheese by default.

Steak was not minced into chunks so tiny that it is essentially a goo.

Steak was tasty and juicy still, not overcooked.

Fried onions and mushrooms available.

Finally got there for lunch today (it's tricky timing because I can really only go Friday or Saturday or the Zepbound will make me feel ill from that much heavy stuff.)

The prescription stuff was a godsend for my eczema when it flared up last year.

Happy because weather is beautiful (22 and sunny!) and it's Friday, but HeavyCon 9 invites came today and I'm still at least 3 years from being able to go again :(

A hitter by hitter account of Lehigh's top of the 1st against Coppin St. They scored 20 runs on just 3 hits, the last being a grand slam with 1 out. The next two batters made outs to end the inning.

Had a nurse visit to do a checkup for life insurance, and got the any chance you might be pregnant question. 😁

Always tempted to just climb on top of the car and walk right over them. Maybe stomping a little as a treat.

As expected, Israel picked a fight with a nuclear armed Iran for the auto loss.

Played the 1st year of Mr. President last night. Did poorly in managing the world (Israel and Saudi Arabia both in wars, India hates me and in a cold war standoff with Russia) but Congress likes me, my public approval is fine, and the economy is humming, so better than the current guy's 1st year.
