Since we’re in a golden age of new Star Wars tv shows, I’ll again pitch “David Attenborough style nature documentaries but of fictional Star Wars creatures.”

No empire. No Jedi. Like, what the Jedi would watch on tv to relax after a stressful mission.

It's alarming, and we must choose each other now.

Take mental and emotional health breaks as you need to.

Pick just a few things you care deeply about and give those your attention.

They want you to feel this way, like whatever you do, it won’t matter. Do not give them this power.

It is 2007. I’m playing LEGO Star Wars with my sister. She refuses to play as anything other than an Ewok.

It is 2025. I’m playing LEGO Star Wars with my girlfriend. She refuses to play as anything other than an Ewok.

[willem dafoe unprompted] now, this cookie monster. [toothy smile] what a creature, what a lust. it consumes him. [crosses legs] he’s really a tragic figure.

A hand is holding up a paper with an illustration on it! The illustration features 20 Kermit drawings. They’re a little wonky!! They are all different shades of green and yellow green. There are stars and hearts surrounding the Kermits. The drawing is with ink and alcohol makers.

I drew Kermit from memory!

The David Bowie intro to The Snowman is so funny, imagine if tomorrow's Wallace and Gromit began with Harry Styles walking into an attic in a woolly jumper saying "hey did I ever tell you about the time I was a plasticine dog"

I'm hyper critical of museums because I work so closely with them, but as spaces where you can go and literally just 'hang out' with ancient history they truly are unique.

Feeling down?
Go sit next to an old pot/fossil/painting.
It won't necessarily solve anything but it's still very grounding.

Goodreads is owned by Jeff Bezos. A better alternative is StoryGraph, a Black woman-owned platform. And before y’all start, you can transfer all your Goodreads data to Storygraph so you literally have no excuse.
