I've cause so many people around me to be even casually interested in birds and I love being the catalyst for people to learn and even more so when it's something that helps you slow things down and get outside for a bit. I think birds are pretty neat.

I now have 105 species on my life list. Call out every bird I see while driving and I'm better connected to the natural world around me. I love telling people about the birds that live in our area and seeing their shock at how many different species you can find right in your backyard.

One year ago I logged my first bird with Merlin.It was a tufted titmouse. I knew nothing about birds, didn't have binoculars, didn't know what Ebird was. I wasn't able to tell you the difference between a nuthatch and a sparrow. Just went outside with my phone and thought it was pretty neat. #birds

NGC 246 is a planetary nebula in the constellation Cetus. It is the first known planetary nebula to have a hierarchical triple star system at its center. The nebula and the stars associated with it are listed in several catalogs, as summarized by the SIMBAD database. NGC 246 was discovered by William Herschel in 1785.
