Just talked to one friend still looking for work. She’s multi lingual and probably the most responsible and competent person I know. My convo with her left me with bloodlust for Elon.

Have any of them weighed in on wind turbines or solar arrays?
You're added!
If you're working on or writing about environmental issues in the Great Lakes region, let me know and I can add you to this starter pack. bsky.app/starter-pack...
@wearegonnafindout.bsky.social do you manage that starter pack?
Are you part of the native plant starter kit? That sounds like a good one for you.
my first arrangement of the season
Message me if you’re a flower farmer, a florist-farmer, or a florist using locally grown flowers. I’ll add you to this starter pack.
A mason jar filled with tulips and daffodils.
The first flower arrangement to mark the beginning of flower farming season!
Seek out your local flower farmer! You’ll get higher quality and a more diverse selection than you would from a supermarket. If you happen to be in the East Lansing area, message me at stephanie@blooming-burbs dot com.
Punctuation is serious bizness
I have liked what @garlingilchrist.bsky.social has had to say every time I’ve heard him speak so I’m hopeful about this.
I hear @wewill2026.bsky.social (MI 07) gave a pretty excellent speech.
It *did* cause me to be more isolated, which, eventually, caused me to seek out ways I want to get my social interaction . That’s the stage of pandemic recovery I’m in now, and it’s pretty good, tbh.
I liked it but not exactly for the reasons you mention. I worked throughout and did like the extra time provided by not having to commute, more time for gardening, not having to worry about clothes and makeup. It felt a lot less pressurized.
Bucket up kids it’s about to be REAL FUN.
TMZ setting up in DC to follow politicians around is FINALLY the appropriate lowbrow "news" coverage this administration has merited all along.
Doug the Tank, a 33-lb, 30-something-year-old snapping turtle, was rescued after being found wandering the Lake Michigan shoreline and being battered by waves - an unusual sight since these guys typically inhabit the slower waters (like wetlands) of the #GreatLakes www.mlive.com/environment/...
“Tax cuts for tax cheats” is pretty good.
I thought I might do a rewatch of LOTR but I find myself annoyed in a distracting kind of way that women aren’t in the fellowship. This didn’t used to annoy me but I guess it does now.
I agree that this is going to be good for the trajectory of moving to renewables, and I also think that you can point to passage of the IRA as being an outcome related to the first DJT term and his fossil fuel favoritism.
Yesterday was first green frog day for me.
This article addresses all "positives" that I've heard from my local D leaders and D candidates about why we should be building data centers: competition with China, tax revenues, jobs. Turns out there are flip sides to all those coins!
Recognition of problem and policies to address it.
A PBJ is a perfect food but only if it has crunchy peanut butter.
Also, there is subliminal messaging in this picture.
🤔
“I brushed it aside,” Altman said. “Now I am awake in the middle of the night and pissed, and thinking that I have underestimated the power of words and narratives.”

That is a pretty darn good idea.
