Our co-founder Emma had the pleasure of presenting our model of care at a recent webinar organised by @coopfutures.bsky.social
The presentation given by Emma (which by her own admission was delivered in record-breaking time for her!) is available here: futures.coop/our-work/oxf...

A photo of people sat outside Recharge having teas or coffees. Both ebikes are standing near to where they are sat on a picnic table in the sun.
🚲 Big thanks to The Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge for their generous £1,000 grant!
The grant went towards buying two electric bikes to help our team get around sustainably (and make the most of this weather!) ☀️
Also a special shout-out to Carlton at Recharge Bikes for the generous discount. 🌱🚴♀️

🧵[4/4] This last month - a year after that wonderful person passed - they returned to the garden to place a plaque, reconnect, and remember the love.
Care doesn’t stop when the job ends. This story, and others like it, are what relationship-centred care looks like. 💛
🧵[3/4] One beautiful example: a number of people from our Tod Circle and Hebroyd Circles came together to support a wonderful human being. When that person passed away, the team supported each other through the grief. They met with the family, and helped to plant a memorial garden together.
🧵[2/4] For us, it means giving time and space for real connections to grow. It means building teams of people who choose to care for someone - who get to know each other, build trust, share laughter, and show up through the tough stuff too.

At Equal Care Co-op, we often say we're a relationship-centred care organisation, but what does that look like in practice?

A rotating mandala-like illustration describing the values and principles that make up Equal Care Co-op, comprising of those of the co-operative movement, sociocracy and Equal Care themselves. Mutual care is at the beating heart of it all.
There's a lot that makes us who we are, but at the heart of it all is mutual care 🤝💛
