Testors used to have a color called "oily black" it looked like old rubber tires with a slight oily green sheen at just the right angle.

A good start on my carafe for the #dirttpotterchallenge5. I am using paddle and anvil construction and Amaco Art White clay tempered with sand.

The plunger doesn't go up and down right, but it doesn't leak.

Also, I may have caulked everything together so I may not be able to fix the plunger or ever disassemble it ever again....

It turns out flint knapping is pretty uncomplicated.
