All right! Rim smoothed and spout attached. Uh...wow. Just time to let it dry, burnish, and fire. #dirtypotterchallenge5
My carafe is coming along. The neck is fighting me. It wants to be a thistle shape...so I guess it's going to be a thistle shape. #imincontrol #dirtypotterchallenge5
#dirtypotterchallenge5 from @earthnationceramic.bsky.social
Textured with wood chips and #underglaze to show texture. #puppetmon is underglazed with @chrysanthoscolor.bsky.social and Mayco and #sgraffito and inlaid with #mishima. Glazed with Earth Nation Ceramic's war greymon.
Technically this was the first #carafe I threw for #dirtypotterchallenge5, but was less satisfied with the shape. But as that one is in the glaze firing, I wanted to actually decorate the back-up piece. Still want to decorate with @earthnationceramic.bsky.social favorite #digimon, #puppetmon.
Finally got around to decorating for #dirtypotterchallenge5.
At one of @earthnationceramic.bsky.social classes at #IMCO, I asked what his favorite #digimon was, so... I'm going to use that to my advantage and decorate the #carafe with #puppetmon. And show some of the decorating process.
Gonna use the #DirtyPotterChallenge5 to work on my pours. My first thought was, without a spout it'll have an awful pour! Now we can use spouts but I wanna figure out how to get a good pour on a round rim.
What objects pour well for you? Pictures?
