My final assignment for my Research Symposium class is over 4700 words. I think it's about done, but despite it being last minute in some aspects, I think it's some of the best work I've done yet. #academicsky #university #studentlife

For those who saw my last post, this is the kind of app i want. I could do it in #scapple, but it's not meant for big text blocks so its not ideal. But basically I want something like Xtiles where I can connect blocks of text to see the purpose, and move those blocks around. #programming #apps

Although I want to do the summaries myself. I'm checking it out now. Ty.

I haven't used Googles ecosystem much but might have to check it out!

Heh. I forgot to answer this part. I sorta did that. But if I buy the monitor I want I'm going to have to redo my desk entirely, undoing all the progress I made today. Sigh. (But the monitor's so pretttty.)

You know what I want? An app that lets me write on one side, then write summaries of each paragraph on the other side, and have them connected by an arrow or something similar. Bonus points if text could move around easily in blocks.

I....uh...do not. I'm working on that now tho! lmao. Most of the time I don't even know what's on my desk. Haha. I'm a disaster.

For those of you with cluttered desks, how tf do you keep it clean? ADHD & Executive function disorder make for a constantly disorganized space, no matter how often I tidy it. #clutter #organizing #deskspace

I've been working on my final project for my Social Justice and Peace Studies program, and wanted to ask a question of Premier Doug Ford: Do you not love people who are on ODSP but not working? You said you love those of us who work - what about those who cant? Do you love them too?

Writing an essay on decolonizing one's self, anchored in my perspective as a hopeful educator. It's really interesting, but I feel so far behind all the scholars I'm reading. I'm almost in my 40s and only just finishing my bachelors. Otoh, part of resisting colonization is learning about it. #edusky

Oof that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm including all the ums and ahs and things too, so it takes a lot of relistening, too. My brains tired!

Yes! It was a slightly long (but amazing) interview, too. I learned so much from it though. Wish I had access to transcription software, but it is what it is. Lol.

Time to transcribe an interview! #academicsky #edusky #edustudent #student

Yes I have. She's quite talented, albeit with a very different style of singing.

Listened to Miley Cyrus for...4+ hours today. Damn she has an extensive discography. Was fun to dive into it. #musicsky

Ugh that's horrible. *shakes head* How did anyone think that was appropriate even then?

Worked for 2 hours yesterday on the discourse analysis chart. Today I'm going to work for an hour on the framework, identifying power dynamics and tying various articles together. I got this. #academics #academicsky #university #procastination

I did good yesterday! Going to do workings today as well! (Don't have much actual time, but going to use what I have around work.)

Making progress! Doing a #discourseanalysis by hand is...weird, but i'm doin it! Learning a lot, too. (Also did a load of dishes, but that's ADHD for ya.)

I've been struggling severely with avoidance and procrastination, but today's the day. I transcribed the last of the first interview, am letting my phone and headset charge to do the second, and am going to work for 45 minutes on something else while I wait. I got this!

Oh I wish we'd had this when I was growing up. It looks so welcoming!

Always!

Eh. I stalled out after about an hour, but did make some progress. Still feel overwhelmed. Sigh.

Ok, time for an #accountability post. I'm going to work on my final project for 45 minutes. I can do this. #procrastination #impostersyndrome #Edusky

It's funny. I've been in university for four years, and a year & a half of college before that, and I still imagine people being surprised when they find out that I am in university - yes, that I was capable of it. Imposter syndrome is real. Bah!

I am! It's much different than how I have mine so far. I've got a couple ideas on changing things already. Thank you. It's very insightful/well written!

Just found it through Western's library! Excellent.

I'm going to see if I can find that now! Thank you. I've been writing mine pretty much blind, aside from a few articles about them that were pretty overview-heavy. Thank you!

Has anyone written an autoethnography before? Curious what people think of them! Writing a short one for a class project. So far it's been really interesting, but intense.
