You can also stipulate that the funds be held in our endowment and the proceeds off that investment be used for your chosen purpose. This means your legacy will last in perpetuity. www.sksm.edu/legacy #SKSMLegacy
You can choose to make SKSM the sole beneficiary, the beneficiary of a specific percentage, or the contingent beneficiary after a spouse or other loved one. The funds realized from this legacy gift can be given as unrestricted or restricted for a specific purpose (scholarships, faculty support).
You can make Starr King a sole or partial beneficiary of a retirement account or an insurance policy. Did you know that legacy gifts count towards SKSM’s Sowing Seeds Campaign goal of $9 million? You can help us reach that goal with a beneficiary designation.
You simply fill out a form that is entirely separate from your will – which makes this approach an easy way to give.
Not only is it an easy way to give, but it’s also flexible – you aren’t locked into the choices you make today. You can review and adjust beneficiary designations anytime you want.
Beneficiary designations are a quick and easy way to make a BIG difference! Just name Starr King School for the Ministry as a beneficiary to receive assets such as retirement plans and life insurance policies after you’re gone.

We met many wonderful people and had the opportunity to reconnect with double graduate, former Graduate Association president, and current trustee Zeb Green, who helped arrange this opportunity for Starr King in Hendersonville.
This weekend, President Krusemark delivered the sermon at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Hendersonville in North Carolina. Her sermon, A Theology of Light and Darkness, was well received. We are grateful to Rev. George Grimm-Howell for the invitation.
Whether in person or in spirit, I carry the Starr King community with me on this journey. Thank you for the many ways you contribute to our shared work.
With gratitude and warm regards,
Dr. Stephanie Krusemark
