The love of my life is reading “The Dragon Reborn,” and I’ve never been so pleased to share something that I haven’t had another person to connect with on for years — just loving the discussion while desperately trying to avoid spoilers gives me the grins whenever I think about it.

Leaping fox in the moonlight, and an owl chilling in the moonlight with flowers in the background on a corn hole board
Some strong vibes of a certain character on this corn hole board.
Just finished my sixth turning of the wheel last week — I always get a new perspective on that journey, and am invariably different on the other side. Faile and Lan were the standouts for me this time through. It’s always someone different and I think that’s a part of my love for the series.
It was an ending . . .
What do you think the alert chime is for Androl and Pevara’s infinite text stream?
Same, but in my version it’s my wife that’s the therapist. Fortunately she’s immune to embarrassment from years of immersive training
An age yet to come? But what of the wind?
Aviendha POV chapters give me the giggles.
Did she remember Rufus’s birthday?
These are fantastic!
I feel like it would be “so Elayne” to cast a mask of mirrors and then only change her nose and put on a hat.
I had a consultant in that department.
A wooden birdhouse modified to a fairy house including many sizes of round windows that are variably placed randomly and symmetrically for a whimsical effect. The windows are filled with tissue paper “stained glass” of various themes. Warm red, yellow, orange and yellow at the entrance and adding in white, pink, purple, navy and teal to the other colors on the other colors. The colors are placed randomish with the exception of the design on the back of the house where the pie pattern pays homage to the 8 celebrations in the “Wheel of the Year.” The roof is covered in a thick layer of multicolored green mosses. Additional moss is placed around the corners of the house as bushes. There is iridescent shredded large glitter sprinkled on the roof to represent snow. I’ve turned the whole thing into a lamp with a 300 lumen 2700k bulb to make best display of the “glass” inserts.

Today I was tasked with making a fairy house for the new winter fest experience at my job. I’m really pleased with the results and looking forward to seeing the kiddos reactions when they discover it in our indoor forest experience. #ColoradoChautauquaAssociation
Faile brings Perrin a Dagwood after he forges Mah’alleinir then quips with Cha Faile that it’s the only way she can get him to
eat his vegetables. Perrin thinks she smells satisfied but always adds too much horseradish.
Humanity is awful and doomed sometimes. My emotional batteries are drained and I’m honestly confused and deeply saddened. But the sun is warm on my face and I make the world work a little better every day while I spread kindness in my wake and learn from the folks around me. There’s only forward.
