ISDN PRI is a T1 with 23/24 Bearer channels. In our setup, they were typically utilized in pairs, so the D channel for 1 could be used to provide signaling for both, giving you a total of 47 B channels for each pair. The MAXes that I have were all setup like that. ISDN BRI is the 2B, 1D circuit.

Yep... And for those two to work at all, one end of the call needed to be digital (ISDN). You couldn't call your friend's analog modem and get that negotiation. It would be limited to v.34 (33.6K)
